Lake Home - Wolcott, CT

This is a project for a family who was looking to build a new lake house.It was my first experience designing a project that would be built in real life. Learning the process of working with clients and listening to their wants was an experience that I could have never gotten in school. This project has taught me how to work with clients while still trying to achieve the best design possible. The house itself is built for a couple with two kids in college that are growing older and wished to have all of their daily needs on one level (kitchen, bedroom, living room, dining, & porch). The house’s main floor is focused around a double height living room with a large stone fireplace. All of the view’s in the house look out towards the lake. The lower level contains the kids bedrooms and walks out to the water. The certificate of occupancy was gained for the house on July 6, 2016.
