Assisted Living Center - Cambridge, M.A.
This project was about learning to design with the requirements of ADA. The project was located in Cambridge, MA and taught us how to design within an urban landscape like Boston. I created a central atrium for the center that contained elevators, and breakout spaces that the senior citizens could congregate in. The rooms themselves were designed for senior citizens with various levels of need and handicap. The center’s goal is to create space for senior citizens to interact and stay active. Walking paths, gyms, pools, and lounges all makes daily activity and interaction possible on site.
